So, I've listened to the recording with Amy Sparrow as Claudia, and quite frankly, I'm disappointed.
I think she has a ton of emotion in her voice, and sounds to be a better actress than Fischer, but her voice breaks constantly during "I Want More", and her "MMMOOOORRRREEEE!" goes sharp. I sounds to me like a lack of rehearsing. And a number of times a seemingly New Jersey/York accent slips ("You ply me with lifeless dawls when what I wawnd is blawd") but I would really love to see pictures, or even a video, which the ladder is unlikely.
However, I watched Drewstat--and I feel like Drew was a better Lestat. I feel he played both Armand and Lestat really well, but his "Sail Me Away" and "From the Dead" kicked backdoor and I think honestly the show would've turned out better if he was Lestat the entire run, and Noseworthy was Armand.
I would adore to see Tommar Wilson as Louis! Or Rachel Coloff or Colleen Fitzpatrick as Gabrielle. Were there any of these, or any other understudies during the run?
