Dvd Or Soundtrack?

Hi guys,

I'm new so I'm sure you have discussed this before but I can't find my question answered anywhere so...

Have any DVDs or CDs been released of the musical? Even pirate ones! I am desperate!

I was so excited when I first heard they were making this and thought I would have to wait a while before it came over to the UK but never that it would be cancelled!!! I know they messed with the story for Broadway but still, that is terrible and unbelievable considering Anne has 100million readers worldwide! Why, everytime they try and bring the Chronicles to the big screen or stage does something go wrong?!!!

I am SO SAD that I will never get a chance to see it! The guy who played Lestat sounds a bit old? What was he like?

The Vampire Lestat is my favourite of all the books - you should see my totally tatty copy of it! I am re-reading it for the millionth time right now, and it would have been so great to see Nicki portrayed and Gabrielle and the wolf-killing scene and........ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone can point me in the right direction for clips, DVD or soundtrack I would be slightly less devastated!

Thank you!

He was 42 at the time. I'm sure they took his age into account when they cast him. He's got a marvelous voice and, personally, I loved him in the role...but I'm biased. I only heard a single complaint about his age, but it was from a couple of young girls who thought anyone over 25 was elderly.

The wolf-killing scene wasn't really shown. During previews, it opened with him kneeling over a dead wolf. But they decided to scrap that and the killing was sort of pantomined and suggested with the sound of the wolves and lighting.

In the meantime, if search for videos on MySpace, there are some video clips there.

Aww, I know the felling as well. Itīs been only a year since Iīve read IWTV and became a HUGE TVC fan. I got so mad when I found out Lestat had a musical that only lasted 40 nights on Broadway, I really donīt understand why people didnīt like it.

You hardly notice Hugh is twice as old as Lestat, I assure you. And Iīm not biased, since I only started loving him when I saw the play.
Thereīs a complete video of the NY version on Google Video. And if you like Drew Sarich, the guy playing Armand, you can find the play with him as Lestat on a day Hugh was sick. Itīs on Youtube, just search "tatsel". And also, Iīve recently posted some of the soundtrack on another topic of the forum.

lol.. Hugh doesn't look his age -at all-, and his cute personality makes him seem even younger (from what I've seen, I mean). Some men age so freakin well, it's just not fair.

Off-topic, but how old are Jim, Rod and Carolee?

Hi,

Hey I’m also a musician like you and was in a similar situation when I had wanted to publish my first album. The best deal was shown to me by one of my friends on a UK site called www.easymultimedia.co.uk which provides CD duplication software. They have about ten years of experience in the field and assure the quality. So just check it and I am sure you will find it great duplicating software. Happy Holidays!

anything that has to do with our "alternative culture" is rejected and destroyed by the general public.. any hlp you can offer to locate footage would be appreciated!
